Georgian Cuisine Party

On June 9, YUMICO Catering organized the party of authentic Georgian (East Mediterranean) Cuisine in North Burnaby.

Appetizers 1. Fried Eggplants in walnut sauce with spices and herbs stuffing. 2. Dolma - grape leaves with lamp, rice, and herbs like basil stuffing in yogurt sauce. 3. Lobio - cooked beans with garlic, onions, herbs, and special spices.

Specials 4. We cooked Hachapuri - it's a thick pancake with cheese stuffing. We used Georgian authentic cheese.

Entries 5. For an entry we chose Chahohbili: it's stewed chicken pieces in onion sauce with herbs and East Mediterranean spices.

Dessert 6. Pakhlava made with honey, lemon juice, and walnuts. 7. Honey pie.  8. East Mediterranean Cookies.

Price per a person for the dinner consisting of eight dishes was $ 35. There were more than 160 guests who came to taste our exclusive food, and our East Mediterranean/Georgian cuisine had success with both Canadians and local Russian community.    Apart from the really tasty food, the band was playing Georgian music, and the guy named Alan performed several Georgian dances.
